A Year of Connection, Celebration, and Growth at Main Street Media

By Hannah Privette Dec 31, 2024 | 10:59 AM

As we say goodbye to 2024, it’s incredible to reflect on everything we’ve accomplished together at Main Street Media. Our six radio stations—105.3 WOW Country, STAR 107, 97.7 WBMC, 92.1 The Ticket, 92.7 YERT, and 105.5 The Mullet—have been at the heart of McMinnville, Sparta, and the surrounding communities, bringing local news, music, and unforgettable moments into your lives.

This year has been one of growth, new opportunities, and deeper community connections. More than just playing music or delivering the latest news, we’ve worked to strengthen our relationships with you, the people who make this area so special.

One of the biggest milestones of 2024 was the purchase of our radio stations from PEG Broadcasting, LLC. This acquisition marks a major step in our mission to stay deeply rooted in the communities we serve. It’s an exciting new chapter that allows us to strengthen our commitment to providing local, relevant content for all our listeners. We couldn’t be more thrilled to continue growing with the support of our community.

Throughout the year, our commitment to keeping you informed has never wavered. Whether through breaking news or the local events that matter most, we’ve been right there with you every step of the way. From the latest updates in Sparta and McMinnville to celebrating the joys and navigating the challenges that shape our lives, we’ve worked hard to bring you stories that resonate with our community. We’ve had the privilege of hosting local candidates, law enforcement, school leaders, and community advocates, giving them a platform to connect with you directly and share their vision for the future. It’s been important to us to make sure you’re always in the know—whether it’s about local elections, upcoming events, or the news that impacts your daily life.

Our presence at the Warren County A&L Fair was another highlight, where we connected with so many of you in person. The fair was a great chance to celebrate local talent, engage with listeners, and showcase everything that makes our community special. And as we’ve expanded our services beyond traditional radio, we’re proud to offer even more ways to stay connected with you. Whether you’re listening on-air, streaming online, or following us on social media, we’re constantly evolving to better serve you.

None of this would have been possible without the incredible leadership and support of our management team, Chad Graves, Scot MacDonald, and Mark Mabry. They’ve kept us focused and on track, ensuring that we stay true to our mission of serving the community through the power of local radio.

A huge thank you also goes out to the talented team that brings everything together. From the voices you hear on-air to the behind-the-scenes work that keeps us running smoothly, every person plays a crucial role in making our stations what they are. We’re so proud of the collective effort that drives us forward each day, and we couldn’t do it without this dedicated group. A special shoutout to Justin Reed, Raven Young, Jay Walker, and Tisha Emberton for their passion for music, local news, sports, talk radio, and community stories that shine through every time they’re on the air. We also want to thank Anthony Griffith, Hamilton Hobbs, Kali Bennett, Malgosia Porter, Hannah Privette, and Connor Winton for their contributions that help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

Looking ahead to 2025, we couldn’t be more excited about what’s to come. We’re especially thrilled about our brand-new lineup, with even more local shows coming to the airwaves. We will continue to grow our connection with the community, keeping you informed and entertained, and we have so much more in store. As we expand our services beyond traditional radio, we’re continuing to find new ways to connect with you and offer more ways to stay engaged.

One of the biggest moments we’re looking forward to is our Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony on January 10, 2025, at 11:30 AM. We’re excited to celebrate with the McMinnville-Warren County Chamber of Commerce and the community, marking the next chapter for Main Street Media. We hope you’ll join us for this special event as we continue to grow and serve the community in new and exciting ways. Thank you for making 2024 a year to remember. Here’s to an even bigger and better 2025! Together, we’ll continue to celebrate, support, and keep the community connected through the power of local radio.
